Mitreos en Domus y Villae

Abstract

This paper analyzes some typical features of the mithraea situated within a private context such as domus and villae. By approaching these domestic cult spaces we aim to establish some key points regarding their relation with the nature and cultic behaviour of Mithraism, especially in what concerns the function and dynamics of the cult community, as well as with the standard features of other mithraic spelaea.
