Abstract

The registration in the Spanish Civil Registry of an adoption constituted in Portugal is denied for considering the third and fourth sections of article 26 of the International Adoption Law not complied with, that is, for not providing a certificate of suitability issued by the competent Spanish public entity and missing the consent of the public entity corresponding to the last place of residence in Spain of the adopted minor who held Spanish nationality.
