Abstract

EU Regulations 2016/1103 and 2016/1104 recognize the spouses or future spouses and the partners or future partners of a registered partnership, within certain limits, the freedom to designate the law applicable to their matrimonial property regime and to the property consequences of their registered partnership, to change the applicable law at any moment and also to give their change of applicable law retroactive effect.
