The Prestige case has faced a lengthy legal journey. Over the years, English courts issued decisions conflicting with Spain’s Supreme Court ruling. The latest judgment on October 6, 2023, in England adds a new chapter. It asserts that the Spanish Supreme Court’s order for London P&I Club to pay 855 million euros clashes with English arbitration resolutions. This legal contradiction adds an extra layer of complexity, showing ongoing uncertainty about executing judicial decisions and prolonging the mystery of the Prestige case’s final outcome.
