This work focuses on liability exemption of electronic commerce platforms when third parties sell in them products that infringe industrial property rights. First, the regime initially established in the Directive on electronic commerce and its interpretation by the Court of Justice are studied, to subsequently expose the process of intensification of the responsibility of platforms, which has found its latest manifestation in the recent Digital Services Act
