Abstract

This paper aims to address the figure of bachelor Juan Escribano, professor of Greek at the Trilingual College of the University of Salamanca. Despite its importance to Hellenism during the second half of the 16th century, he has not been the subject of a detailed research. Escribano excelled in their teaching and their devotion to the Trilingual, institution where he worked and lived more than half of his life. However, living in the school was difficult, due to the bad be havior of College students and negligent management of most of its vice presidents, with whom Juan Escribano maintained a tense relationship many times.
