Abstract

The role of claims for recognition in the debates about social justice from the 70s implied the redefinition of the most basic foundations of feminism. Since then, this social movement had to adapt its future plans to the new understanding of gender that emerge from cultural perspectives. In this article, I will analyze the approaches of Iris Marion Young, Nancy Fraser and Seyla Benhabib, three feminists whose works try to resolve the conflicts between the political-economic and political-values dimensions of justice.
