Resumen

El concepto de «violencia obstétrica» es reconocido internacionalmente, pero carece de una definición definitiva y universalmente aceptada. Esto implica que, aunque existe cierto consenso sobre el concepto, todavía hay debates y dudas en curso sobre su significado y alcance precisos. Este artículo analiza la evolución y definición internacional actual de «violencia obstétrica», desglosando sus elementos y examinando la polémica surgida en torno a su uso. Por último, el artículo ofrece una reflexión sobre los principales problemas de las definiciones internacionales actuales y sus implicaciones.
