Abstract

The term “conflict” expresses confrontation, fight, and divergence. To explore the nature of the conflicts seeks to offer solutions to go beyond it analysing their functions in social contexts. This field of studies is nourished by contributions of different disciplines in which the conflict is commonly understood, on one hand, as a connatural situation to the history of humanity, and on the other hand, as a relationship in which each part have their own motivations. These motivations allow the analysis of the conflict in a way that pursuit his managing through institutionalized or non-institutionalized mechanisms and forms searching to overcome the continuous violent actions (like in the armed conflicts) or cooperative solutions of actors (like in the frame of figures such as the mediation).
