Abstract

The debate on the legality of amnesty laws in international law continues to be open. Although there is an unequivocal tendency towards their prohibition if their application impedes the prosecution of gross human rights violations, some recent judicial developments demonstrate the persistence in time of two alternative normative discourses on this controversial matter.
