Abstract

In Argentina there is a permanent economic emergency. We will study the concept of economic emergency and its relation to the concept of police power. We will analyze the characteristics of the economic emergency in the case law of the Supreme Court of Argentina and the conditions for the validity of the emergency regulations. Finally, we will study various regulatory mechanisms to deal with economic crisis, and we will refer to the implications of the economic emergency for the rule of law.
