Although the adaptation of law studies to the Bologna Plan has boosted the debate on the training of the jurist, in reality this is a subject that has always been present and with regards to which there is wide agreement as to both the content to be taught and the methodology to be applied. Currently, the social function of the law calls for a balanced updating of both dimensions.
