Abstract

The labor reform tries approved by RD Law 32/2021 included new rules to increase the fixed employment contracts and establish objective criteria and conversion commitments of fixed-term or temporary contracts into permanent ones. This paper analyses the amendments made to Article 15.5 of the Workers’ Statute regarding the chaining of contracts, as well as the measures adopted in the sanctioning framework to achieve this objective. Finally, the article examines the response given by collective bargaining to the call made regarding plans to reduce temporary employment”.
