The reform of the tenth additional provision of the Workers' Statute prohibited mandatory retirements under the age of 68 stipulated in collective bargaining agreements and established the hiring of a new worker on a full-time, permanent contract as the sole justification for employment policy. Furthermore, a positive action measure was introduced to encourage the hiring of new female workers to fill the positions of those forced into retirement in sectors with low female employment, allowing for the reduction of the retirement age in collective bargaining agreements to the standard retirement age. This article aims to analyze the reception of this reform in collective bargaining.
