From anti-discriminatory protection to the protection of situations of vulnerability. Possibilities and limits in the law of the European Union

Abstract

In this article, we study the concept of vulnerability carried out from the Philosophy of Law. The main aim is to analyze the virtuality fo this new conept in the interpretatio and application of law and, in the e prohibition of discrimination. Special attention is paid to the usefulness of this new concept to overcome some limitation of discriminatory law.
