Abstract

The aim of the paper is to analyse Italy’s historical contributions to the two-thousandth anniversary of Augustus’ birth. The analysis focuses on three thematic fields: Augustus the revolutionary founder of the novus status rei publicae, the charismatic leadership of Augustus Führer-Dux and the eulogy of the Augustan Empire.
