Abstract

Recent decades have led to a great development of Basque historiography on the Second Repub­lic. Due to the special features of every territory, however, this historiography has undergone var­ied levels of development. This paper will make special reference to Gipuzkoa, paying particular attention to what work has been achieved and what, in the author’s view, remains to be done.
