Segunda Época JA - SEMIOSFERA VL - 0 IS - 0 SE - Artículos DO - UR - https://e-revistas.uc3m.es/index.php/SEM/article/view/2449 SP - 38-49 AB - Resumen: El presente artículo propone la utilización de las teorías tomadas de la geografía humana, sobre el espacio relacional de Doreen Massey como marco teórico fundamental a partir del que desarrollar una investigación en museología cuyo principal objetivo es describir los espacios relacionales que se construyen alrededor de exposiciones de arte contemporáneo en dos instituciones artísticas de la ciudad de Barcelona y analizarlas en función de las relaciones de poder que las organizan, poniendo especial énfasis en las relaciones que se generan entre los profesionales implicados en la exposición y los visitantes de la misma. Así, en su mayor parte, el artículo reflexiona sobre las teorías expuestas por Doreen Massey en sus dos principales obras Space, Place and Gender, (2001) y For Space (2008). Posteriormente, se expone cómo estas teorías ayudan a desarrollar el marco teórico de la investigación y a diseñar el acercamiento metodológico de la misma.Palabras clave: Espacio relacional, Doreen Massey, exposición, profesionales, visitantes.Abstract: The present article presents how Doreen Massey's theory on relational spaces, taken from human geography, contributes in a fundamental way to the development of a museological research. The main objectives of this investigation is to describe the relational spaces constructed around contemporary art exhibitions in two art institutions in Barcelona and to analyze them according to the power relations which order them. As a secondary objective, the research also seeks to describe the relations between the professionals involved in the exhibition and the people who visit it. Thus, the main corpus of this article reflects on the theories exposed by Doreen Massey in Space, Place and Gender (2001) and For Space (2008). To finish with, the article explains, first, how these theories have helped to develop the theoretical framework of the research and, second,how they conducted the design of the methodological approach of the research.Keywords: Relational space, Doreen Massey, exhibition, professionals, visitors ER -
