Abstract

The paradigmatic model of Transitional Justice is characterized by the protection of civil and political rights and the predominance of retributive justice. The export of this model to post-conflict societies has revealed the connections between social and economic issues, such as poverty, corruption and inequalities, and the achievement of an effective transition to the democracy. This article analyzes the relationship between these social and economic issues and Transitional Justice in light of the theory of discourse and the categories of abnormal and normal discourse, used by Nancy Fraser in the analysis of theory justice.
