Abstract
The age of Justinian (527-565) gives us much evidence of a debate on the causes of earthquakes, very articulated and sometimes lively, in which are placed next to the Aristotelian seismology, numerous religious interpretations of the causes of earthquakes, pagan and Christian of origin, often instrumentally used by groups of dissent to strike Justinian or by the emperor to quash dissent.Downloads
