Cheating in sport
Abstract
Because of the apparent ineffectiveness of administrative sanctions, the Legislative has decided to penalize some conducts that concern the development of sports competitions and can affect their results. Now, the so-called sportman/woman environment is punished if he or she gets doping substances that promote their physical capacity and let them to compete, altering equality rules. Besides that, cheating conducts aiming to intentionally alter the results of one sport event are also punished. This work tries to show that Criminal Law has not yet shown itself as an efficient way to restrain this kind of conducts.
