Abstract

This article claims the importance of the right to inclusive education for the construction of a society with equal opportunities regardless of personal, social, cultural and gender characteristics of each person. The article focuses especially on persons with disabilities and supports that ensure the right to inclusive education is the gateway to the right to independent living. Furthermore, it remarks the current situation of the right to inclusive education and independent living in the Spanish context, and the importance of the social partners to achieve the insurance of them.
