Ethical and social proposals of transhumanism and Human Rights

Abstract

This text reflects on the need to address the ethical challenges posed by the scientific and technical advances that are taking place in the beginning of the XXI century. It focuses on transhumanism and its approaches and proposals, differentiating three trends. It analyzes their social ethics proposals and compares them with the Human Rights approach. It also analyzes the pros and cons of Human Rights System as a reference universal ethical, and compares the proposals of transhumanism with Sustainable Development Goals, proposed by the UN at the beginning of 2016.
