Abstract

The Hague Child Protection Convention of 1996 is an important source of law for questions of international jurisdiction and conflict-of-laws concerning measures of child protection. Flight situations pose a significant threat to children, especially when unaccompanied, and challenge the Hague Child Protection Convention and similar tools in a very special way. This article will analyze how and to what extent the Hague Child Protection Convention offers appropriate solutions to problems even as serious as the situations of refugee children.
