Abstract

The Saharawi women constitute a special case in the North African countries. This article intends to reflect the current role of Sahrawi women in society, both within the country and in a more extensive scope. In parallel, we analyze the reasons that led to the Saharawis to obtain this power, as the evolution of the Sahara to become a matriarchal society.
