Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.

Author Guidelines

Guidelines for Authors

The Spanish Labour Law and Employment Relations Journal accepts contributions of international interest in the following areas:

(1) Labour law, employment law, and social security law.

(2) Cross-disciplinary research (economics, sociology, etc.) with relevance for labour, employment and social protection.

(3) Comparative studies are especially welcome.

Submission: By email (anabelen.munoz@uc3m.es, franciscojavier.gomez@uc3m.es).

Length:  Between 6,000 and 12,000 words, footnotes included.

Manuscript format: Editable format (MS Word, etc.).

Abstract and keywords: Articles must be accompanied by an abstract (50-200 words) and by 3-5 keywords.

Language: All contributions must be in English.

Author information: Professional details and affiliations should be attached to each author’s name.

Footnotes: Should be brief and kept to a minimum.

References in the text should have the name and year in brackets, eg. (Alonso Olea, 2001). At the end of the article include a list in alphabetical order of the first author's surname, followed by second and subsequent authors.

If accepted for publication, the article may be edited for purposes of fluency.

Original work: Contributions must contain original work. Unless otherwise agreed, contributions should not have been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.

Contact details: All submissions must contain full contact details (email, postal, telephone, fax) of the corresponding author with institutional affiliations for all contributors.

Copyright Notice

It is allowed to publish the articles in other journals whenever reference is made to the prior publication in the Spanish Labour Law and Employment Relations Journal (SLLERJ).
