Towards non-domination in the workplace. Some neorepublican proposals
algunas propuestas neorrepublicanas
Abstract
It is possible to argue that the ultimate aim of civic republicanism is to implement the ideal of freedom as non-domination. Threats to freedom thus understood do not only come from the public powers, but also from certain private spheres, including, to a large extent, the world of work, where employees are often subject to the arbitrary decisions of their employers. Thus, from this doctrine some proposals have been formulated aimed at eliminating –or, at least, mitigating– domination in this area, which will be reported in this paper.
