Development (international evolution)
Abstract
This article analyzes the historical and legal construction of the concept of development in the international arena, since its institutionalization in the middle of the twentieth century to the adoption of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by the United Nations in 2015. To do this, we study how the term evolves through the different contexts in which it appears, and what debates are generated, with issues such as growth, sustainability or human capabilities.
