Accumulation by dispossession
Abstract
The concept of «accumulation by dispossession» was created by David Harvey to define a wide range of policies under the neoliberal mode of regulation beginning in the 1970s. The aim of this entry is to develop an explanation of its institutional framework (State theory, economic changes, regulatory scenarios) and its subjective figures (patterns of conduct, forms of belonging, new temporalities) in light of its fundamental processes: privatization and commodification, financialization, management and manipulation of the crisis, and state redistributions.
