Abstract

Despite of the long debate about prostitution, at the present moment there are some certain statements about it. The first one is that it is mainly practiced by women. The second one is that those are immigrants’ women who practice it in developed and rich countries. And the third and last one is that men are the clients of this market. Moreover, legally or not, many people take profit from it and from those women. The fast entry of China into the capitalist economy and its opening to the world, made lots of Chinese citizens migrant to all over the world and the in the last years the number of Chinese citizens circulation has increased, not only in their roll of tourists, but also as migrants. Recently Chinese female prostitution offer in the region of Madrid has also risen. Within this work, we will focus on this region but the research can be expanded to all areas. This new offer has established quietly but firmly, and it is mainly offered in private places, such as flats or houses. This increased may be due as a result of the growth of Chinese migration flows, some of them, made voluntarily or as victims of the phenomenon of trafficking in persons for sexual exploitation. Because of its characteristics and invisibility, this kind of offer is very close to the trafficking and sexual exploitation of women. The fact that it is not commonly seen and takes place in private places, it does not mean it does not exist. In this research, we will analyze how these places, where Chinese female prostitution is offered, work.
