Les violences de la guerre civile finlandaise: enjeux d’histoire, enjeux de mémoire
Abstract
Resumen: La guerra civil de 1918 fue un acontecimiento muy doloroso de la historia finlandesa. Los vencedores utilizaron cualquier medio para legitimar su acción y desvalorizar a sus adversarios. La investigación histórica, por consiguiente, fue durante mucho tiempo orientada por una memoria partidista. Este artículo hace una serie de propuestas para conseguir establecer una visión más equilibrada de aquel trágico acontecimiento, en particular analizando las causas de la guerra, las características de los diferentes bandos, la significación real de las violencias y las precauciones que hay que tomar con la memoria del conflicto.

Abstract: The civil war of 1918 was a very painful episode in Finnish history. The winners did everything to justify their actions and to criticize their opponents. Historical research has long been under the weight of this partisan memory. This article aims to identify ways to achieve a more balanced view of this tragic event by questioning its causes, the respective nature of the opposing forces, the real meaning of violence, and the traps and pitfalls of memory.
