El final de la guerra civil: Cartagena, marzo de 1939
Abstract
Resumen: La base naval de Cartagena resultó determinante en la fase final de la guerra civil. Servía a los planes de resistencia formulados por Negrín y los comunistas, a los entreguistas de Casado y a los de la quinta columna. Figura central de aquel drama fue el teniente coronel Joaquín Pérez Salas, que se movió con dificultad en un laberinto de intereses cruzados. La localización de nuevas fuentes inéditas –como los sumarios de los consejos de guerra- permite perfilar la secuencia exacta de los acontecimientos, valorar el papel de cada uno de los colectivos implicados y revisar conclusiones aceptadas.

Abstract: The naval base of Cartagena was decisive in the final phase of the civil war. Served the resistance plans formulated by Negrin and the Communists, Casado submissive and fifth column. Central figure in the drama was Lieutenant Colonel Joaquin Perez Salas, who moved with difficulty in a maze of crossed interests. Locating new unpublished sources such as court-martial’s summaries allows outline the exact sequence of events, value the role of each of the groups involved and review conclusions accepted..
