Eugenio de Ochoa, mediador cultural entre España y Europa
Abstract
Resumen: Eugenio de Ochoa (1815-1872) fue un escritor, traductor, crítico y editor español. Su actividad como mediador cultural fue fundamental para entender el intercambio de ideas entre España y Europa durante el reinado de Isabel II. Formó parte de la una red de relaciones personales e intelectuales que se movía en torno al mundo de la literatura, la pintura, la edición y la traducción. Su trayectoria representa un caso de estudio típico del traductor y creador cosmopolita que actuó como puente entre diversos entornos culturales.

Abstract: Eugenio de Ochoa (1815-1872) was a Spanish writer, translator, critic and publisher. His activity as a cultural mediator was essential for understanding the exchange of ideas between Spain and Europe during the reign of Isabel II. Around him, it is possible to reconstruct a network of personal relationships that moved around the world of literature, painting, editing and translation. His career is a case study of the cosmopolitan translator and creator who acted as a bridge between several cultural environments.
