Pensadores españoles en la lucha entre iglesia y estado en Hungría (1853-1895)
Abstract
Resumen: El conflicto entre la Iglesia católica y el Estado en Hungría marcó la vida política del país durante la segunda mitad del siglo XIX. En esta batalla, los intelectuales católicos utilizaron la letra impresa como vehículo para llegar a los creyentes y formar mejor a los seminaristas y a los jóvenes universitarios. Los trabajos de los pensadores españoles Juan Donoso Cortés, Jaime Balmes y Félix Sardá y Salvany tuvieron un papel importante en la formación del arsenal ideológico de la Iglesia católica húngara en su lucha contra la secularización del Estado y contra el pensamiento liberal.

Abstract: The conflict between the Catholic Church and the State in Hungary marked the political life of the country during the second half of the nineteenth century. In this battle, the Catholic intellectuals used the printed word as a vehicle to mobilize the believers and to better train seminarians and university students. The works of the Spanish thinkers Juan Donoso Cortés, Jaime Balmes and Felix Sardá y Salvany were highly used by these Hungarian intellectuals to build the ideological defense of the Hungarian Catholic Church in its fight against secularization of the state and against liberalism.
