El nacionalismo revolucionario catalán: militarismo, cultura, sindicalismo y función pública. El caso de Daniel Domingo Montserrat (1900-1968)
Abstract
Abstract: Catalan revolutionary nationalism of the first third of the 20th century was nurtured by young people from the rural world, who asphyxiated by their closeness, aspired to arrive at Barcelona, seen as a megalopolis, in which they tried to succeed as journalists, writers and politicians. However, they suffered the handicap of not being university students, and not even possessing primary studies. Turning into mercantile dependents, they radicalized their social and nationalist discourse and became convinced that they were going to be the hammer that was going to regenerate Catalunya of the oligarchs of the conservative Catalanism and that, also, they were going to marginalize the republican catalanists by his political submission towards the Lliga. This space is illustrated in these pages through the minor figure, as all members of this political and social space, Daniel Domingo Montserrat.
