The problems of a science of history in Reinhart Koselleck
Abstract
Starting from an analysis of the koselleckian approach to a science of history, the article focuses on the problems that are glimpsed by uncritically assuming the presuppositions that underlie this conception, showing that Koselleck offers his theoretical elaboration to guarantee the necessary diachronic communication between different contexts and thus restore the unity of history with a transcendental foundation that demands the adoption of apriori categories. The difficulties emanating from this proposal are explored from a historical-conceptual alternative that depends on the reading of Otto Brunner and the investigations of the Padua School directed by Giuseppe Duso.
