Feminicide (in Mexico)
Abstract
This article centres its attention in the reception in Mexico of the concept of femicide –developed by Anglo-American doctrine- and its transformation into feminicide. It also analyses the first efforts to criminalize it and the 2009 sentence of the Inter-Amercian Court of Human Rights against Mexico for its responsibility in the feminicides of three young women in Ciudad Juárez.
