Abstract

Along this paper I work on the definition of the Public Interest Litigation (PILI). I begin with a description of the main characteristics of this particular way of bringing claims into the courts in order to enforce constitutional rights. For a better understanding of this phenomenon, there is a brief description of its historical evolution, the main causes that can explain the present development of this practice, as well as its theoretical foundations.
