Autobiografía de una generación: España, 1975-1984
Abstract
Resumen: La primera etapa de la vida profesional de Julio Aróstegui (1967-1984) constituye un modelo para el estudio de la generación de profesores de Historia universitarios que vivieron la Transición política y contribuyeron a la renovación disciplinar de la historia contemporánea y la de la comunidad de historiadores. El artículo utiliza los recuerdos autobiográficos del profesor Aróstegui para reconstruir los contextos y procesos que determinaron el desarrollo de su personalidad de historiador.

Abstract: In researching the generation of History professors who lived the transition to a democratic regime in Spain, those who contributed to a deep disciplinary and even communitary renewal, the first phase in Julio Aróstegui’s professional lifespan (1967-1984) constitutes a typical case study.This article examines the personal memoires of professor Aróstegui in order to rebuild some substantial historical processes and backgrounds which shaped him as a historian.
