Social Security and a gender perspective. Legislative work after the 2020 version of the Toledo Pact
Abstract
This study addresses the relevance of the gender perspective in social security, which has increased after the 2020 version of the Toledo Pact. The four most important legislative interventions after the 2020 version are analysed. Thus, the supplement to contributory pensions to reduce the gender gap; the improvement of the special system for domestic workers, focusing on contributions and unemployment protection; the incorporation of special cases of temporary incapacity exclusive to women; and the 2023 social security reform, with important new features from a gender perspective.
