Necesidades espirituales, religiosas y comunicación en cuidados paliativos
Resumen
Introducción: Las necesidades espirituales y religiosas son tenidas cada vez más en cuenta en el ámbito sociosanitario, dado el auge del modelo de la integralidad en los cuidados y de la Atención Integral Centrada en la Persona. Objetivo: Describir la utilización en la literatura científica de variables referidas a las necesidades espirituales y religiosas de los pacientes, personas dependientes y/o mayores y sus familiares en los centros sanitarios y sociosanitarios. Metodología: Revisión narrativa en las bases de datos: Psycinfo, Psicodoc, Dialnet, Scopus y Pubmed. Resultados: Se seleccionaron 72 documentos. Se muestra la evolución de investigadores y profesionales de la salud hacia: la aceptación de las necesidades espirituales/religiosas y sus efectos positivos; la necesidad de atenderlas; la demanda y surgimiento de formaciones, técnicas y herramientas de comunicación; y de su evaluación, y la exigencia de investigaciones más completas. Conclusiones: Se reconocen cada vez más los efectos positivos y la utilidad clínica de la dimensión espiritual/religiosa en el ámbito de la salud y la necesidad de formación en habilidades comunicativas.
